Eligible applicants for an External SACEMA bursary may be registered at any university in South Africa. Preference will be given to candidates who are nominated by their current or prospective supervisors.

The letter should include an assessment of your research potential and confirm:


          •      1). involvement in the development of your proposal, including reading and approving the submitted version;


          •      2). willingness to supervise your studies;


          •      3). willingness to attend an annual Research Meeting at SACEMA (University of Stellenbosch) in support of your studies;


          •      4). openness to further engagement with SACEMA in order to evaluate your proposal, if necessary;


          •      5). openness to possible collaboration with SACEMA on your project, if successful.
